An informational booklet produced by the Butleigh Visitor Scheme to welcome you to the community and to provide useful information about the wide range of organisations, clubs and activities that are taking place within the villages. In addition, you will find some general information, which may be useful as you settle into your new home.
Butleigh Playing Fields Association
The Playing Field and Children’s Playgrounds in Butleigh are owned by the Parish Council but are administered and maintained by the Butleigh Playing Fields Association (BPFA).
The compact “Back Town” site boasts two acres of grass pitch area and an area of hard standing, suitable for ball-games and skating. Football, touch rugby, rounders, netball, basketball and a cricket practice area are just some of the facilities on offer.
The Ann Heeley Heritage Trail
Butleigh is lucky enough to have a wonderful trail around the village known as the Ann Heeley Heritage Trail.
You will find the trail plaques outside many of the houses in the village. They contain lots of interesting facts and information about the properties and their history.
